Global Cleveland’s Inaugural Global Employer Breakfast A Huge Success!


On September 9th, Global Cleveland hosted the inaugural Global Employer Breakfast at the InterContinental Hotel and Conference Center. This was the first in a series of corporate conversations that will focus on the expansion of the region’s talent pool. Nearly 60 people registered to attend on behalf of Cleveland-area employers, including the MetroHealth System, the Cleveland Clinic, Weatherhead School of Management, Cuyahoga Community College, the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Antal International, and many more. Newcomer Spotlight: Racquel Armstrong

After 9 years spent living in Boston, Philadelphia, and Columbus, Racquel Armstrong is happily settling back into life as a Cleveland resident! Armstrong, a current resident of Beachwood, was raised on Cleveland’s east side and attended Hawken School prior to relocating to Boston for her undergraduate degree. Upon graduation from Wellesley, where she majored in urban studies and economics, Armstrong moved once again, this time to Philadelphia to pursue a master’s degree at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania.

International Newcomer Spotlight: Ramon Pagan

In 1989 Ramon Pagan immigrated to Ohio from Puerto Rico, bringing along with him his wife, young child, ten moving boxes, and a ten thousand dollar debt. Growing up, Pagan’s mother was an entrepreneur that ran a neighborhood store that sold everything from jewelry to household items. Pagan inherited his mother’s strong work ethic – and entrepreneurial spirit – and was driven to succeed.
