NOVA supports early-stage founders as they refine, validate, and grow their ventures in the U.S. market. The program combines practical business development, skills training, and relationship-building to help participants strengthen their ideas, increase visibility, and integrate into Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial landscape.
The program focuses on three core pillars:

Mentorship: The Core of NOVA
Mentorship is a cornerstone of the NOVA experience. Each participant is paired one-on-one with an experienced mentor who brings deep knowledge of Northeast Ohio’s business environment.
Mentors include industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and seasoned executives with at least five years of regional experience. They provide strategic guidance, local insight, and real-world perspective while supporting both professional and personal growth.
Through mentorship, participants refine goals, navigate regional systems, and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the program.

Who Should Apply to Participate in NOVA?
NOVA is designed for founders who are ready to commit, collaborate, and grow. Explore the requirements below.
- A working MVP or functional prototype in use by real customers
- Early indicators of validation, such as:
- Pilot users, beta testers, or letters of intent
- Early revenue or pre-orders
- Clear qualitative feedback from customer discovery interviews
- A clear plan to pursue the venture full-time within 6–12 months
- Demonstrated coachability and openness to feedback
- At least one team member comfortable communicating in English for workshops, mentoring, and pitch sessions
- A product or service addressing a clear problem or market need
- Well-defined target customers with early evidence of demand
- A vision for profitable, scalable, and transferable growth
- Foreign-born or international entrepreneurs based in Northeast Ohio
- Interest in adapting products or services for the U.S. or global markets
- Ability to commit to the full 16-week program, including mentorship, workshops, and activities
- Willingness to present at a final pitch showcase and allow program-related marketing references

The NOVA Application Process
- All applications are pre-screened for eligibility and program alignment

- Scalability and transferability

- Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews
- Final selections are announced 2–3 weeks after the application deadline
