Come celebrate greater Cleveland’s international communities at the One World Festival on Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th. The event is expected to bring over 30,000 visitors to the beautiful and unique Cleveland Cultural Gardens, a series of 26 gardens celebrating the diverse array of nationalities that call Cleveland home.

A New Welcoming Place for Clevelanders and Their Furry Friends


The enormous growth in the number of residents choosing to live downtown has spurred the Downtown Cleveland Alliance to announce the launch of a crowd funding campaign to create a new dog park in the Flats. The park will be built near the banks of the Cuyahoga River at Settler’s Landing and is conveniently located across from the RTA station on West Superior Avenue – a fitting site for dedicated Clevelanders given it’s the landing site of Moses Cleaveland in 1796!

Painesville Hispanic population up 22%


Painesville, the county seat of Lake County, has experienced a 12% population growth from 2000-2010. In that same decade, the Hispanic population has increased from 13% to 22%. The dramatic growth in the Hispanic population has coincided with a high rate of student transience and poverty. To combat these problems, school district Superintendent John Shepard and Assistant Superintendent Josh Englehart are leading a community improvement effort to address the needs of the growing Hispanic student population.

Lebanese Festival


The Lebanese Food and Music Festival was a lovely event celebrating the Lebanese culture in the Cleveland area. The festival was attended by friends and families of the Northern Ohio Lebanese American Association (NOLAA) and numbers reached up to approximately 200 on both Saturday and Sunday. Global Cleveland Meets with Representatives of the Polish Community

#ChooseCLE - Feeding Cleveland’s Brain Gain


Over 215 summer interns, many who reside outside of Greater Cleveland, connected with over 35 employers at Global Cleveland’s "#ChooseCLE" event on Wednesday, July 23rd. Global Cleveland spearheaded the successful collaboration of seven organizations with internship programs (Summer on the Cuyahoga, Hillel, The Jewish Federation, Engage! Cleveland, NOCHE (Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education/NEOintern) and (I)Cleveland. Together these organizations helped interns interview with prospective employers for their next internship or even a full-time job in Greater Cleveland.
