Ohio on the Global Stage

This edition of the British American Chamber of Commerce's Link Club will feature Representative Ty Mathews. A leader on Ohio's global economic ties, Rep. Mathews will speak on key legislation, including House Bill 291, which establishes the Ohio International Trade Commission to evaluate and strengthen business relations with foreign countries and support Ohio’s export competitiveness; alongside House Bill 332, expanding the linked deposit program to empower small defense contractors with affordable capital for international supply chains, and House Bill 292, creating the Ohio Defense and Space Commission to recruit international businesses and promote aerospace innovation vital to global trade.


British American Chamber of Commerce Link Club

The March 2026 installment of the British American Chamber of Commerce's Link Club will feature an AI in manufacturing focus, with RoviSys' Bryan DeBois as the speaker. The event will be a great opportunity to network with internationally minded professionals in the Greater Cleveland region as well as hear Bryan DeBois' perspective on the power of AI and its potential to assist manufacturing companies deal with the loss of institutional knowledge as experienced employees retire.

Global Cleveland recognizes the critical economic and cultural contributions of International Newcomers and works hard to make newly arrived Cleveland area residents feel welcome in our communities. Currently, the organization is developing initiatives that will target retaining international students by connecting them to local employers. Our Talent Coordinators will provide resources for employers on hiring foreign-born talent, assistance to international jobseekers and training on cross-cultural issues that both employers and international applicants may experience during the hiring process.
