OHTec (formerly NEOSA ) launched Tech Week with the intention to expand the Best of Tech Awards and create more awareness of the regional IT industry. The mission has since expanded to support, connect, engage and celebrate the regional IT community. This year Tech Week, April 13 – 17, will feature a weeklong series of events including “Tech Talks”, hosted by Global Cleveland. The FREE speaker series will be held at partner colleges. Sessions are open to the public, but registration is requested.

Tech Week has slowly grown in participation, beginning with just over 500 attendees in 2011 and expanding to 1,917 participants in 2014. The Tech Talk events, which will take place at Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Baldwin Wallace, Kent State University, and the University of Akron, will allow IT students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the regional tech industry in Ohio and connect with small tech firms and startups.
