Cleveland-connected residents living in the Washington, D.C. area will get a taste of the jobs and growing industries available in Greater Cleveland on June 26th. Business and civic leaders will travel to D.C.’s National Press Club to spread the word that Cleveland has gone through some dramatic changes since many of them left. The hope is that after the young professional crowd hears what the Clevelanders have to say, some of them may want to come back to fill the open jobs and start new businesses in Northeast Ohio.KNOW SOMEONE IN DC? send them the invitation: HERE

Conceived as part of Global Cleveland’s Talent Attraction Campaign, this is the first “roadshow event” designed to showcase the best of Cleveland to an audience of Cleveland-connected residents living in other U.S. cities. Global Cleveland will highlight Cleveland’s incredible home values, vibrant arts & cultural scene, and the diversity of its citizens.

“We’re very excited to take Global Cleveland on the road to show the rest of the country—and really, the world—what we’re capable of and what’s attractive about Cleveland,” said Joy Roller, President of Global Cleveland.

The centerpiece of the event and the entire Talent Attraction Campaign is Global Cleveland’s online portal, globalcleveland.org, which is designed to be a one-stop shop for everything a person would want to know about Greater Cleveland.

“We’ve spent a lot of time and effort developing this portal, trying to make sure it’s the best possible resource for anyone who’s new to the area or wants to move here,” said Roller.

The Global Cleveland Summer Virtual Job Fair, open from June 23rd-27th, will punctuate the talent needs by promoting open positions by employers across a wide spectrum of industries in the Greater Cleveland region.
