GLOBAL RISING
Global Cleveland’s Global Rising session is a nine-month leadership and professional program for International Newcomers In Northeast Ohio.
The Global Rising Program aims to prepare our region’s foreign-born residents with the skills, knowledge, and tools required to grow and thrive in our community and help strengthen, develop, promote, and empower.

Professional Connections
Professional Connection volunteers are matched with an International Newcomer (International Newcomer, Displaced Persons and/or international student) based on similar professional backgrounds and interests.
Responsibilities might include:
- Reviewing resume and cover letters, mock-interview practicing, and sharing job search skills
- Possess experience in job searching and hiring practices in Cleveland
- Have a background in Human Resources or a specific industry (for example, engineering) preferred
- Connect newcomers to new contacts and professional networks
- Attend a volunteer orientation and training session at Global Cleveland
