On October 28, please join Global Cleveland and International Partners in Mission (IPM) in welcoming IPM’s international visitors, project partners, regional staff, and executive board members! The visitors are arriving in Cleveland from Brazil, El Salvador, India, Nicaragua, and all over the United States. The group will be in the area to attend a number of IPM events, including the Annual Awards Luncheon and International Executive Board meeting. The welcoming reception will he held at the new Santorini Greek Taverna in the Cleveland’s Warehouse District.
Global Cleveland is thrilled to support Santorini, which is owned by brothers Tommy and Gus Karakostas. Tommy and Gus are proud of their Greek heritage, and their desire to open a restaurant grew out of their strong connection to Grecian culture. Although Tommy and Gus were born in the United States, they are first-generation Americans and spoke Greek before learning English! Tommy and Gus enjoy going out to restaurants in Cleveland and its nearby suburbs, and they love seeing the different cultures represented. The brothers are grateful for the opportunity to provide authentic and traditional Greek food – with a modern flair – to Cleveland region. Santorini’s menu includes numerous Greek recipes from the different regions and isles of Greece. Most of their food is directly imported from Greece as well, making their restaurant and dishes unique and genuine. Global Cleveland and IPM are very excited to host this event at Santorini and we would love to see you there!
