I am pleased to reach out to you with an important and exciting announcement about the leadership of Global Cleveland.

After a lengthy and thorough executive search process that resulted in a diverse and highly qualified pool of candidates, we have now identified the visionary leader with the background, capabilities and passion to take our organization to the next level. Longtime Cleveland City Councilman Joe Cimperman will become the new president of Global Cleveland. As the child of an immigrant who grew up on Cleveland’s east side, Joe deeply understands how newcomers to our region need to be welcomed and connected so they can become integral, contributing members of our community. As a member of City Council for the past 18 years, Joe’s work ethic, dedication and passion for making our city a better place has earned him the respect of his constituents and peers. Joe lives the values of diversity and knows how to bring people together to achieve a greater good, and we could not be more excited about the positive impact he will have on Global Cleveland going forward.
The timing of Joe’s transition from City Council to his new leadership position at Global Cleveland is being finalized and I will communicate that information when available.
