Now known as the Develop, Engage, Inspire Conference, this annual gathering brings together professionals across industries for engaging sessions, honest conversations, and meaningful connections—all aimed at creating more inclusive, connected communities.

Your Path to Employment in the U.S., presented by Global Cleveland’s Evan Chwalek, will guide participants in navigating the American job market. Tailored for immigrants and newcomers, the workshop will provide essential tools and strategies for securing employment in the United States.

  1. U.S. Resumes – Structure and formatting of a U.S.-style resume, highlighting skills, qualifications, and work experience in a results-oriented format expected by employers.
  2. Cover Letters – Guidance on tailoring cover letters to job postings, aligning qualifications with requirements, and demonstrating professional interest.
  3. Job Search Strategies – Practical tips on networking, online platforms, career fairs, community resources, and avoiding common pitfalls.
  4. Interview Process – Step-by-step guidance on U.S. interview preparation, attire, responding to behavioral questions, follow-up etiquette, and cultural expectations.

The workshop will serve as an empowering session for job seekers, particularly immigrants aiming to enter or advance in the U.S. workforce. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the employment process and practical tools to strengthen their job readiness, reinforcing the importance of preparation, professionalism, and persistence.”

Photographer Tom Kiefer’s El Sueño Americano / The American Dream is a traveling
exhibition documenting the migrant experience at the U.S./Mexico border.
The exhibition features nearly 300 works, along with a revealing selection of migrant
belongings. For the fi rst time, the exhibition will also feature works from contemporary Mexican American artist Elizabeth Z. Pineda, whose artwork explores complex issues related to identity, displacement, and migrant deaths that occur in the Arizona desert.
