General volunteering opportunities include: help in our office, provide information at ethnic and community fairs, help at Global Cleveland special events and connect with international job seekers.
Organized individuals needed to help with filing, scanning, data entry, phone calls, and other basic office tasks. Volunteers will have an opportunity to work with different departments in the organization. Training and supervision will be provided by each department. Positions are available one or more days per week, Monday through Friday during business hours.
Help international newcomers (immigrants, refugees and international students) find a job. Areas of support include improving their resume, cover letter, interviewing and job search skills.
Volunteers are needed to practice interviews with international professionals and provide essential feedback on their progress. Volunteers will provide expertise on skills needed for interviewing and facilitate mock interviews with students using structured lessons prepared by the staff. Positions are available weekday evenings year-round.
Welcoming Mentors are needed to help immigrants and refugees transition to life in Cleveland. Mentors help our newcomers through the challenges of moving to a new place, learning a new language, finding a job, and establishing a home in the United States.

Global Cleveland will host ongoing volunteer orientations at the Welcome Hub. During this time volunteers will be able to tour the Welcome Hub, meet each other and Global Cleveland staff, and learn more about specific volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are required to attend a one-hour orientation before they are matched with a volunteer opportunity. Refreshments will be served. Street parking downtown is free on the weekends, and free one to two hour street parking is available during the week.
